havenotupdatedinforever

Well. Hello again, Infamous Dance.

I had been on a (relatively) long hiatus from updating- no reason in particular, I guess.

So, the last post talks about my schedule- that has changed. I dropped the Sociology class on The Family, and am now doing an internship for UT credit. I work at Ventana Del Soul on Oltorf (nice place, ya'll should go check out the little cafe downstairs). I am their audio producer/sound designer- every Saturday night, they have these Austin-City-Limits-style concerts. I record them, interview the band members, then form all of that into an audio program for broadcast. All I have done so far is learn how to make stuff in the cafe (the concerts don't start for a couple of weeks).

I also have not shared with you loyal readers (if you're still there, considering I haven't posted in a while) that I have a new show and new time slot on KVRX. "Labarum for the Latter-day", starring my new friend Anna and myself, is on at 7:30pm on Wednedsay evenings. If you're LDS, know some Mormons, or are curious, check the show out. We put a lot into it, and this show makes me really happy. You can also call in at (512) 495-KVRX.

This semester will be crazy- internship at Ventana Del Soul, 12 credit hours at University of Texas, classes at the Institute of Religion, working for pay at Sunglass Hut, DJ/community programming at KVRX, and I just got a new calling/job at Church. Since it's not official yet, I will leave what exactly I will be doing a secret for now! But, it is definitely exciting.

Whew! Listing that out is somewhat exhausting. But, I am really happy- things couldn't be better in my life- I feel good about myself, I am pretty sure God feels good about me, and I have good friends. What more could I want, right?

Actually! I thought of something! Valentine's Day is coming up. I need a Valentine, so if anyone is willing/able to be my boyfriend starting at midnight February 14 and ending at 11:59pm that evening, it would be much appreciated.

Okay, kids.

School starts on Tuesday- MY LAST SEMESTER AT UT! Yes, I graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Radio-TV-Film. Nuts.

My classes:

Human Sexuality
The Family
Radio Station Management
Alternative Media
Music/Sound for Film/Video

For my last free weekend, I am visiting the Dallas/Fort Worth area to see my niece, Alexa- she is out of the hospital! I will get to see the whole fam minus David/Julie/Dawson/Embryo and Mom/Tom. Excellent.

I will be out of the internet world until Monday or so.

I will be arriving back in Austin sometime before work on Monday. Then, I'll work, take a sleeping pill and go to bed- to wake up and face my 12-hour (last) first day of school.

HOT.

utlonghorns

I have never in my life sat down and watched a football game for over 10 minutes or so. However, last night- my ladies and I watched the UT vs. USC Rose Bowl Championship game- accompanied with some South Beach-friendly snacks.

THANK HEAVENS!

TEXAS! FIGHT!

Haha, it was Mellie's spasms that let the Horns win.

Yes! My last semester at UT starts with being the awesomest- at least in the only sport most Texans care about!

You should have seen us- screaming like maniacs in our Chuck Taylors and tight Levi's. It was hilarious.

All of Mellie's pictures are up at her Photobucket: Mellie's Pics of the Champs!

mystamps

Haha! I love it! I made this stamp at ZazzleStamps! I am getting 60 of the new $0.39 stamp- I ran out of stamps at the perfect time because postage is officially going up 2 cents on the 8th of this month.

If any of you want a snail mail letter from me featuring my fancy stamps, email me your address at colleenita@gmail.com and I'll send out a card!
