Hi Colleen,

I'm requesting electronic copies of a few people's papers that I thought were very good as examples for the class in the future.
Names will be removed from these papers for privacy.

If you could send me the second and fourth paper you did in the class, I would love to be able to use them in this way.

Also, would you have any interest in presenting your zine on Thursday? Matt Payne graded it and felt it was a very good project.
I'd love to be able to share it with the class. Let me know.

Thanks, LS

This is my beautiful niece, Alexa, my sister, Crys, and my brother-in-law, Zack.

As most of you know, my niece was diagnosed with cancer (neuroblastoma) in December.

Things are not looking good, although just today we had some good news that may mean prolonging her life.

My family is trying to raise money to let Alexa see the family that loves her. Alexa, Crys, and Zack are trying to get to Portland, Oregon, and El Paso, Texas to see extended family that Alexa may or may not get to see again.

We are praying for a miracle.

You can read all about Alexa and her story (as well as daily updates on her condition and progress) at: CaringBridge.Org - Alexa Aigner

Also, if you would like to help support my family, you can donate to "Princess Alexa Fund." You can write a check made payable to "Princess Alexa Fund" and send to

Anything would help. If you would rather help in another way, all the prayers you could possibly muster would be good.

genderroles

No one wants to get rid of gender roles.

They only want to get rid of the ones that don't serve their individual purposes.

I have realized why I have trouble with men. I don't think I allow them to feel like men. I am too much their equal.

Or their superior?

moonwalking

I have seriously been out of the blogging loop for a LONG time.

This weekend was delicious- dinner with Juan and his company @ The Oasis and a moonwalking, pinata-beating party @ Fiona's on Friday night and a double date with Kevin, Katie & Martin on Saturday night.

I've got a million things going on with school right now so I can't really post, but I just wanted to let ya'll know that I'm not dead.

Here are some pics from the moonwalking party on Friday night, courtesy of Yanneth and Mellie...

You can check out the rest (and the color versions of these) and their respective Photobucket sites:

I'll be back in the loop as soon as 7 (that's it! only seven!) Tuesdays and Thursdays pass by. I can't believe I am less than a month away from having a Bachelor of Science!
