newdoormat

Today I got a new doormat. It is pretty ridiculously tits.

I was so freaking excited. What a find! A ganga as my mother would say.

I went bowling with Mariah and Troy and Kelly today... then we made dinner- it was radical. Mellie and I hit up Taco Shack today as our final hoo-rah before she went home to Dallas. Good thing she'll be back soon; it was too much to say goodbye. Haha.

All right. I didn't have too much to discuss; I really just wanted to show off me and Katie's new home decor. You can see our guard dog Winifred ("Winnie") in the top left. She's hot. And tough.

throwingup

Yuck. I was throwing up all day yesterday. I had a fever of 100 degrees ("GOT A FEVER OF 103... HOT BLOODED HOT BLOODED!!!") and I couldn't really move all that well. I couldn't even stay up to watch American Idol. That's when you know you've got it bad. Haha. I have slept all freaking day- with the exception of going to take an RTF final. Oh- and going to the insurance adjuster to find out my car was totaled due to hail damage. Waa waaaaah.

But in good news- my short film (you know, the one that got deleted and I had to start over?) got selected to be featured in the end-of-semester screening, so that's tits. I got a 96, here's the comments I received from my professor:

Your project makes a very strong point by showing what it takes to be a working mom these days. Your choice of packing an entire day into a short film by speeding up the footage is a very good one. It almost makes us dizzy seeing what your protagonist has to do in a single day from waking up to her alarm clock in the morning to setting the alarm clock at night.

The footage you got is nicely shot and edited and the activities you picked during her busy day are well chosen and provide for interesting visuals of her rather frantic everyday journey.

Your choice of music is excellent and gives the film a very interesting touch.

You created a very strong project with an important message, those projects are rare... Great work! Best wishes on your future projects.

OK- so I know that is totally self-centered to post that, but with all the crap surrounding the entire production process, I thought I deserved it.

Also- I tried to jazz up my comments page with some html lovin'... it coordinates now. Holy crap- I'm such a girl. A very nerdy girl.

Ok, well... I think I am going to brush my teeth for the 83498237497 time in the past two days. I need something fun to do this weekend...Any ideas?

kvrxprom2k5

So, the long awaited KVRX Prom post is here- there are about 30 pictures- most of which are from Mellie's camera (Thanks Mel!)... there were a lot of folks there that aren't in the pics- I guess we were self-centered that night! Loren and her man looked especially cute and we don't have a pic of them together, nor do we have Mr. Blair... I think we have hit all the highlights of the beautiful people in attendance other than them though... check it out!

To start off the whole shabang (sp? shebang?)- here is the pic I took of myself. I didn't have my mom to take my prom picture, so the mirror had to do.

All right. Here are all the rest: Clickity Click.

Me attempting to look tough... I was feeling all built on prom night... maybe it was the tie?

Mellie being sweet and shy- she wouldn't pose for me. She's cute.

Me and Mellie: we were trying to make it as high school prom as possible, so we went to the Arboretum to take pictures. (Where we saw a bunch of high school prom-goers, haha.)

Marcos and Yanneth: Marcos got Yanneth a corsage- we had to have the typical picture of him helping her pin it on... I guess Mellie and I were the parents.

Marcos is freaking wonderful and treated all 3 of us to dinner at The Cheesecake Factory. How freaking prom is that?? WHOO!

Marcos and Yanneth.

Yanneth and I: I am a jerk and answered a phone call as we were posing for our picture.

Clap!Clap!

Clap!Clap! (with a radical hat)

Crowd smiles.

Colleen gets some sweet action from Loren. Whoo! You know you're getting hot.

WHOA! Kissin' threesome!! TOO HOT FOR TV.

Mellie and Fiona.

Yanneth, Marcos, Colleen.

The Girls!

I'm a pimp, yo.

KVRX couple of the century: Lindsey & Chris.

KVRX couple of the century 2: Katie and Michael.

Dance!Dance!

Dance!Dance! 2

Dance!Dance! 3

Dance!Dance! 4

BLOOD KILLAZ 4 Liiiiiiifffeee.

Ainley busts a move.

Jolene has an orgasmic spiritual experience.

Mellie and Jill.

Dance!Dance! (again)

A hot drunken couple.

Prom is winding down... I am talking to Jill about boys here I think...

Jill and I.

Look at how dirty the feet of my pantyhose are! SICK.

The perfect ending.

See? What the crap? They are freaking ALL of us! Haha, that's awesome. There was a really good turn out; it was totally radical. It was much better than my high school prom! Well, not better than my senior year, but my junior year for sure. My junior year- I had 2 dates and then ended up (due to a lot of confusion) with no dates at all. I went to my junior year prom with 3 girls and one of my best gay friends. Haha, it was pretty cool, but you know. Whatever.

Over and out.

maskandpipes

My Sunday has consisted of: calling my mama and my step-mama, going to church (I sang today- they called and said there wasn't a musical number, so me and William put something together at the last minute: it turned out ok, I think... it makes me nervous to perform, but somehow I am always suckered into it...), coming home and messing with some html code.

So, I left the code essentially the same, I just added some color and flourish- it was getting depressing having only black and white to look at. I tried to match the color code for the lines to the color in my shower curtain in the picture (the pink on the bow of the skull and cross-bones). I don't know; it didn't work out that well, but it does make for a more visually interesting website. I think. That and I needed a picture of myself that doesn't look like I'm a confused 12 year old.

In any case- the prom pictures are coming soon... it was fun-- I'll give more detail when I take the time to get the pictures up.

As for now- this is what has been comprising my Sunday night:

I think my nerdiness has reached new heights.

4inthemorning

Holy crap. It's 4 in the morning and I still am not even close to going to bed. I have been the hugest procrastinator ever, and here I am- procrastinating still by typing on ol' Infamous Dance rather than studying for philosophy. It's ok though because I gave myself a mini-goal... if I get through the first read-through of my notes, I get to go play on my website. I have got to be the biggest geek ever.

Anyway. I started studying, but then Mellie called and invited me over for Chico's Tacos (Marcos brought it back from El Paso- Mmm... Chico's...); naturally, I had to go. So, Yanneth, Mellie and I talked and talked and talked about all kinds of crap... Mostly the upcoming KVRX PROM (!!) and our various crushes.

My crush is apparently a phase that all KVRX girls go through... I've heard from multiple people that they (or people they know) all had obsessive crushes on this boy at one point- and although I wouldn't say that my crush has reached the boiling point of obsessive quite yet... I do get all nervous when he's around. I have the easiest time talking to anybody and for some reason I can't think of anything to say when he's around. It's retarded.

It's too bad that said crush won't be at the prom- I am going to look HOT.

I am really lucky to have the photographic memory that I have... Otherwise I would be quite worried that it is 4 something and I have only looked over my notes once. I have 2 finals tomorrow and I have only studied for roughly half an hour for one of them; none at all for the other. Ehh- I have done this for all three years of my UT career thus far and my GPA is still pretty righteous. I guess it just works.

I have been really fat today. I ate at a pizza buffet for heaven's sake. Also- my mother sent me one of those "FINAL EXAMS ENERGY PACK!"'s that the dorms put together. Hahaha, she sent me one my first semester (Kinsolving sent out announcements for these care packages apparently) and ever since, they send her the bill to send me one every semester.

I KNOW you're jealous.

I have to take a shower- I smell really bad. Although- I do use Mitchum's- it's "so strong you can skip a day"... Well, let's just say I've probably skipped one too many days.
