I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS! So, this website, "Love God's Way Ministries", states the following: "One of the most dangerous ways homosexuality invades family life is through popular music. Parents should keep careful watch over their children's listening habits, especially in this Internet Age of MP3 piracy." Okay, whatever. BUT THEN, the website goes on to list the bands that will "turn you gay." (I'll list those below, SO ridiculous.)

i can't believe that they have really gone this far. it's one thing to talk to youth about the messages they hear in the media (which is why your organization rocks colleen) but it's WRONG to point fingers in this way.

Media literacy is important, but part of that is giving evidence of media effects and letting people decide how they want to deal with that.

I like how pretty much every band on earth makes you gay, but only 10 or so are okay. One of which is Cyndi Lauper. I guess they didn't catch the innuendo in "She Bop." Not that the subject matter of that song makes you gay, but I'm not sure if it's a good message for kids by those standards.
